We are excited to introduce our newly developed depowdering station – a smart and well-designed solution for a clean, simple, and user-friendly post-processing workflow.
The depowdering station is an ideal extension for the AconityPOLYMER machine designed to streamline the post-processing of SLS-printed parts. It enables the safe removal of printed components from the powder bed while supporting key steps in powder handling and preparation for the next build.
Equipped with its own connectors and control panel, the station can operate independently and separately from the SLS machine, offering flexible integration into your production environment.
To ensure efficient post-processing of AconityPOLYMER SLS jobs, we recommend using the depowdering station. It is equipped with features that simplify the handling of both used and fresh powder, minimizing material loss and maximizing reuse.
The station can accommodate and control up to two docking cylinders from the SLS system. Using the integrated control panel, users can move the cylinder axes to remove residual powder and extract the printed parts. The recovered powder can be transferred either to a second cylinder, a wide-neck barrel, or an overflow container, or optionally sieved within the station before further use.
Fresh powder can be supplied through a connected powder container via KF flanges located on the top rear side of the unit. The powder is fed into the cylinders or wide-neck barrels through a dedicated chute system. An integrated weighing system allows precise measurement of used and fresh powder, enabling defined mixing ratios in a wide-neck barrel. Additionally, the station features a built-in mixing device that ensures a homogeneous powder blend for the next SLS build.
