Despite its advancements over the last years, large-scale series production scenarios based on Additive Manufacturing (AM) are still scarcely found. For this reason, a consortium of twelve partners (Automotive OEMs and suppliers, automation and IT experts and established special equipment manufacturers for laser beam melting (LBM), powder handling and post-processing) has been formed to jointly develop fully automated production lines for two different fields of application.

Main objective of Aconity within this project is the development of a modular AM module for seamless integration in such manufacturing lines.
